1. Destination Zone

Where the parcel is going: in the same city, in the same province or to another province.

2. Chargeable Weight

You pay for whichever is higher: the weight on the scale or the size-based weight.

3. Service Mode

Faster Overnight Express, or Overland Express by road for heavy cargo (usually 36 to 72 hours).

How Size-Based Weight Is Worked Out

For big but light parcels, such as quilts, cushions, empty suitcases or plastic toys, TCS may charge by the space the box takes up. The formula is:

Size-based weight (kg) = (Length × Width × Height in cm) ÷ 5000

TCS uses this for RedBox parcels when the size-based weight is higher than the real weight

Example: A box that is 40 cm × 30 cm × 25 cm has a size-based weight of (40 × 30 × 25) ÷ 5000 = 6.0 kg. If the box only weighs 2.5 kg on the scale, you pay for 6 kg.

Applicable Taxes and Surcharges

The total on your receipt may also include tax and other charges:

Sales tax: Sales tax is added in line with the rules of the province where you book. Check the amount on your receipt.
Fuel Adjustment Surcharge: Can change from month to month with fuel prices.
COD Handling Fee: An extra fee may apply to cash on delivery bookings for sellers.
