TCS Tracking Not Updating? Why Status is Stuck & How to Fix
Quick Answer
TCS tracking statuses pause while a shipment is physically in transit between regional sorting hubs, since scans record at facility checkpoints, not continuously via GPS. How long that pause lasts depends on the route and service TCS booked it under, which we don’t have a verified nationwide table for. If the status has genuinely stopped moving and it’s been a while, the fix is the same either way: call the TCS helpline at (021) 111-123-456 with your CN and ask them directly what happened at the last scan.
TCS hasn't published a nationwide transit-time table we can verify, so we won't hand you one either: a made-up number is worse than no number. What actually tells you something is which status your parcel is sitting on right now. Match it below.
Match Your Last Scan to What's Actually Happening
Still says “Consignment Not Found” or the code doesn't work at all
A seller can print a label and generate a CN before TCS has physically touched the parcel. Until the counter or pickup rider scans it in, the number exists on paper but not yet in the tracking database. Nothing to fix here except patience, and double-checking you typed the CN exactly as printed, since one wrong digit produces the same blank result as a genuinely unscanned parcel.
Stuck on “In Transit” with no movement
This is the normal state for a parcel physically on a truck, in a sealed cargo container, or on an overnight cargo flight between cities. TCS scans at facility checkpoints, not continuously, so a long stretch of highway or a night flight is invisible to the tracker by design, not by fault. If the origin and destination cities are far apart, this can legitimately be the longest-looking gap in the whole journey.
Sat at “Arrived at Facility” longer than expected
A parcel that has reached a sorting hub still needs to be resorted onto the correct outbound route or local delivery run. Weekend staffing, a public holiday, or a stretch of bad weather on a motorway corridor can all push that resort back a cycle. It's worth a call if it's clearly sat longer than the scans before it, but a short pause here is not unusual.
Was moving, then just stopped updating entirely
This is the pattern worth escalating rather than waiting out. A damaged or unreadable barcode label can pull a parcel out of the automated sort line for manual handling, which can genuinely stall the digital trail even while the parcel itself keeps moving. TCS support can check this from their side; you can't from the tracking page.
How to Escalate
If your parcel matches the last pattern above, or the gap has clearly gone past what the earlier scans on the same journey took, here's what actually moves things forward:
- Call the National UAN: Dial (021) 111-123-456. Give the agent your CN and the exact wording of the last status shown, not just "it's stuck" (the actual scan text helps them look it up faster).
- Ask for a ticket number. Get an official complaint reference before you hang up, so a follow-up call isn't starting from zero.
- Tell the seller too, if this was an online order. Merchants who ship regularly through TCS often have an account contact who can push a warehouse-side trace that a one-off phone call can't.
