What is a TCS Tracking Number? Consignment Number (CN) Guide

A TCS tracking number, or Consignment Number (CN), is the code TCS gives each parcel when it is booked. Most are 12 digits, such as 772019482103; some older ones start with a letter like W or C. You will find it under the barcode on your receipt, in the dispatch SMS and in the order details of online shops such as Daraz.

Why your CN number matters
Your CN is the key to your parcel’s whole history. At TCS hubs, scanners read the barcode that carries this number as parcels are sorted.
Each time your parcel is sorted, loaded onto a truck or put in a rider’s bag, the CN is scanned. Our tracker reads those scans when you enter the number.
Where to find your TCS tracking number
Paper Booking Slip
On the receipt you get at a TCS counter, the CN is printed in bold under the main barcode.
Automated SMS
When a parcel is booked, TCS usually sends an SMS with the CN and the destination city.
eCommerce Dashboard
If you ordered online (from Daraz, Telemart or another shop), open "My Orders", view the shipment details and copy the courier tracking number.
CN number or CNIC number?
Important Distinction:
A CN (Consignment Number) is the tracking code for one parcel. Most TCS CNs are 12 digits.
A CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) is your 13-digit national identity number. Courier tracking systems never let the public search parcels by CNIC, to protect people’s privacy.
Lost your TCS consignment number?
If you lost the paper receipt and did not get an SMS:
- Go back to the TCS Express Centre: Visit the counter where the parcel was booked. Tell them the booking time, the destination and the sender’s details so they can look it up.
- Contact the Online Merchant: If you ordered online, the shop’s customer service can check their records and give you the CN for your order.
- Call the National UAN: Dial (021) 111-123-456 and give the sender’s and receiver’s phone numbers so they can look for the booking.
